Congratulations
to our high school senior client Becca B , who
competed with dozens of other
contestants around the country to win the title of Miss April in the
nationwide Transworld Surf Model Contest!! We are so happy for
Becca who did
such an amazing job of surviving the elements and looking beautiful all
day at a photo session we did with her back in March.. As onlookers
dressed in winter parkas,
hats and scarves marveled at Becca's fortitude and determination
that cold day, she never once considered stopping until the sun went
down. Congratulations Becca, not
only for capturing the title, but also on your sheer desire to be a
winner!

About
this time every year Helen and I take a time out from the day-to-day of
the business to
attend the New England Institute of Professional Photographers school
and convention held this year right here at the Ocean Edge Resort on
Cape Cod.
It is by far one of the most beneficial things we can do each year to
improve our knowledge in the photography industry by receiving
education from some of the nation's leading photographers, and also
learning
about some of the new and exciting products being offered in album
design, photography equipment, and very latest services by
top photography labs.
Helen has attended the week long NEIPP school for the past 4
years and she always comes back with great new techniques and
ideas that help us stay up to date with latest trends that our
very savvy brides and grooms demand. I also attend NEIPP on a
part time basis and by helping supply models for the school I
am
able
to sit in on all the classes my models attend, which allows me to learn
from several great photographers during the week.
This year, while my oldest daughter Kristen modeled for Master Wedding
Photographer Hanson
Fong, I learned some invaluable lessons about natural
lighting and classic posing.
My two neices also modeled for senior portrait specialists Dave, Jean
& JD Wacker, and later in the week I opened up
our home to nationally known Master Portrait Photographer Fuzzy Dunkel
who taught his unique style of senior photography to his 20 students.
For this session, my daughter Jocie served as the model, and it was a
privilege to see Fuzzy in
action working his magic. On the left are a few images that I took

We spent a great
afternoon on Nauset Beach
with Becca, a senior here on Cape Cod who is an avid surfer and was
interested in putting together a portfolio of her activities for an
submission to a surfing magazine.
Becca
chose our senior/modeling package which includes two hours of standard
senior portraits as well as non-traditional portraiture to capture the
spirit and personality of our clients. Becca really enjoyed being in
front of the camera, and had a blast
being a model for a day.

Wanna
get away??
We had an awesome time in Florida for February school vacation
week. We spent 5 days in Orlando going to Universal Studios,
Island of Adventure, Seaworld and just chillin by the pool. At night we
were out on the town checking out Planet Hollywood, the Hard Rock Cafe
and Downtown Disney. Temps were in the 80's most of the week so we were
just loving it!! Later we drove to St. Augustine, Palm Coast,
Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach and stayed a few days just to check out
the area's beaches. We
did a lot, and came home relaxed
& refreshed and ready to start gearing up for our busy upcoming
2008 season.
Announcing the
introduction of our Maternity Portrait Session, and also our
Combination Maternity / Mother & Child Photo Sessions. Our
one fee includes Mom's maternity session, and later, Mom with her
newborn. A framed montage or multiple image portrait will show the
progression of your new family that you will treasure for a lifetime.
Mom, you have never been more beautiful, and your maternity session
will preserve this very special time in your life.
2008 1'st Place PPOCC
Wedding Image
We are very
proud
to announce that our daughter, owner of Kristen Dawn Photography, was
the First Place winner in the Wedding Category of the
Professional Photographers of Cape Cod annual Front Page contest in
2008.
PPOCC is an organization of over 50 photography studios with many
extremely talented and experienced photographers, and Kristen's image
was chosen by her peers as best wedding image and received the most
votes in any category. This photo typifies Kristen's style of
creativity and fun and we are so proud of her as she continues to make
a name for herself here on the Cape!
Kristen is now booking small and medium sized weddings
independently here on Cape Cod!

Bride
Magazine! Our photography will be
displayed in three different feature articles.
First, some of our photography was chosen by the
Ocean Edge
resort to showcase their venue in a feature story entitled
"Receptions".
Samples of those photos can be found
here! Thanks Lindsay and Kyle, we give YOU full credit for an
awesome
wedding! It's so easy taking wedding photos when couples are in
love!
The second feature entitled "Photography" has some cool beach shots we
took at a few weddings around the Cape this year. If you getting
married on the Cape, beach photos are always a good idea!! :-)
The third story is a feature about Cape
Cod
wedding fashions entitled "What's Old is new Again". We teamed up with
Sposabella Bridal, Cape
Destinations, All about Flowers, The Heritage Museum, and several other
vendors to do an intensive all day shoot using a half a dozen models at
7 different locations to create an awesome feature layout about
fashions on the Cape. There's a nice sidebar story about our adventure
entitled, "Fashion Photography; Cape Cod Style" that explains a little
about the weeks of planning that went into our fashion shoot.
It's always fun being published, but our girls
Kristen and Jocelyn were a big part of the team and shot some of the
best photography of the day!! So we are especially excited to see the

Another Great
Year!!
We are proud to announce another very
successful year since our arrival on Cape Cod in 1991. We ended the
2007 season with a bang with weddings on December 26th, 30th and 31'st
and
for the 5th year
in a row we have booked all available prime dates from June to October.
We are ahead in our bookings for 2008 at this time over last year, but
there are still a few prime dates available!! Please fill out
our inquiry form if you are still looking for a photographer in
'08. We already booked our first three weddings for 2009 so it's
never
too early to reserve your vendors if you know who you want!

Since the
graduation of our
daughter Kristen Dawn Coombs from The Center for Digital Imaging Arts
at Boston
University in May of 2007, Kristen Dawn has taken the Cape by storm
with her booking up solidly in 2007 and 2008 with her unique fun and
candid style. Kristen is one of the very few professional
photographers
on the Cape that loves to photograph small, intimate weddings !
With her sister
Jocelyn as her assistant, this young team of photo journalists brings
an energetic and contemporary feel to a wedding and has created a
buzz on Cape Cod with her awesome photography and reasonable prices.

We wanted to give everyone an update
regarding our Boudoir / Glamour sessions that we have been offering
this year. The requests have been coming in and we have begun booking
them again from now until May.
We shoot these sessions in several locations that offer
magnificent antique bedrooms for a very sophisticated and stylish
backdrop. If you're thinking about doing it, why not ask a friend or
two
if they might be interested? We can offer discounts for small groups,
you'll have a lot of fun
and everyone can save some money on the session.
Ladies, you know
your husbands and boyfriends will love this, so give him the best

Two Hour
Glamour/Boudoir Session Photography by Helen
While every weekend we take photos of Brides & Grooms taking the
plunge, my daughter Kristen and I took a plunge of our own this summer!
Jumping out of a Cessna at 10,000 feet over Sandy Neck Beach right here
on Cape Cod! We talked about it for almost two years, but Kristen and I
finally picked a beautiful crystal clear day and took the jump at
sunset! It was an experience we'll never forget and was certainly
one of the highlights of our summer!

Fenway
What a great 2007 Mother's Day I had with the family at Fenway Park!!
Frank got
us awesome front row loge seats for the game against Baltimore. Things
were looking pretty bleak with the Sox losing 5-0 in the bottom of the
ninth and down to their last two outs. But, in what is now being called
the Mother's Day Miracle, the Red Sox scored 6 runs in the bottom
of the inning for an unbelievable victory! Later after the game,
families were invited down to the field to run the bases. (That's me
and the girls)
Later for Christmas, Frank bought the actual base you see in the
photo from RedSox.com complete with the pink Mothers Day Logo on all
four sides. It is a perfect remembrance to highlight
the World Series championship year for us, and is proudly
displayed in my studio for all to see!
